The Goodness of God

God is good? ALL THE TIME! All the time? GOD IS GOOD! – If you don’t know that saying, you should be shame! #BlameYaMamaNotME LOL

But on a serious note, do you know how GOOD God is? Because babyyyyy, he is GOODT! He always comes through! He makes the impossible possible! He literally performs miracles. And most of all, he loves us, REGARDLESS of our sins. He is a forgivable God! He is a loving God! HE IS … HE IS … HE IS … #AllThatAndABagofChips

I know that there are some people out there who are skeptical of God, or simply nonbelievers! Some of those same people not only question Him but question why we choose to follow Him. And I feel like its important for us to be careful how we talk about God. I, for sure, think we should spread His word and share how He has impacted us! But we have to be sure to not only share the CONSEQUENCES of God but also the GOODNESS of God.

When I say consequences, I mean the VOLUNTARY sacrifices we give on a daily basis. The WAITING on God! The FASTING for God. The fact that we still endure troubles, chaos, hardships, and other unwanted matters in our lives. Sometimes we babble so much about the troubled times – how we are struggling with this … waiting on that … seeking change for this … and everything else that could go wrong – that we forget to babble about the GOOD he has done for us. And those nonbelievers will say “well if there is a God, why would He let bad things happen?”

Now – I’ma keep it simple, if you want the longer version, you gonna have to go to church or crank out that Bible (I recommend the NIV version if its your first time) – but don’t get it twisted, God doesn’t just LET bad things happen to us. He simply designs – or allows – certain obstacles (good & bad) to mold you into the person you need to be, in order to walk in the purpose He has destined for you. These obstacles or hurdles are not consequences but lessons and teachings that are designed to prepare you for what’s to come. However, HE NEVER LEAVES US! “He will never leave you, nor forsake you!” He guides us, he motivates us, he even sends others to help us along the way. He gives us exactly WHAT we need WHEN we need it! And despite what we think, he is ALWAYS on time!

TAKE AWAY: When talking about God, we should be sure to share the GOODNESS of God! Don’t just share the beginning and the middle, share the END too! Because if there’s one thing I can guarantee, He came through in the clutch, didn’t he? Yep, I know!
